  • The PSAT will be proctored on October 25th from 8:00-12:00 in the FHS Dome. There are only 200 tests available, so please register for the test ASAP. To register for the test and save your spot, you must use the link below to the Bookstore’s online payment portal and complete the required information. The cost of the test is $25.

    Practice test materials are in! You can pick them up in the counseling office. 

    Overview: 

     

    The PSAT will be proctored on October 25th from 8:00-12:00 in the FHS Dome. There are only 200 tests available so please register for the test ASAP. To register for the test and save your spot you must use the link below to the Bookstore’s online payment portal and complete the required information. The cost of the test is $25. The $25 is tax credit eligible which means it is not refundable. If a family needs financial support with the fee you can reach out to Mr. Marks for possible assistance.

    Overview

    • Optional test for Sophomores and Juniors
    • The PSAT won’t count towards your college admissions applications, but it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. Some of the highest scoring students may win scholarship money, so while you shouldn’t stress out about the PSAT, you certainly shouldn’t ignore it either. Use the PSAT as practice for the SAT and ACT and an important guidepost on your college admissions journey.
    • Visit the PSAT site to view practice materials and full practice tests.
    • Students will be excused from class
    • The test runs from 8:00 to about 12:00
    • Once the test session has started no late students will be admitted.
    • Wear removable layers depending on the temperature of the Dome.
    • No electronic devices at all!!!!
    • You may eat snacks during the break
    • Only water is permitted at your table (no coffee or energy drinks)

     

    What to Bring

    • Photo ID
    • Water (no coffee or energy drinks)
    • Calculator
      • Check to see if you have an approved calculator to use on the math test (calculators will not be provided).
