May 20, 2026

Dear FUSD Families and Staff,

As the 2025-2026 school year draws to a close, I want to express my gratitude to our students, staff, and families for your incredible contributions to the Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD) and all that we have accomplished together. May has been a time to celebrate! Our classrooms and schools are buzzing with exciting final projects, concerts, award ceremonies, and showcases as a fantastic culmination of the progress our students have made.

I am so proud of our students for their hard work, growth, and dedication throughout the year.  And to our talented staff, your support and commitment to our students is truly appreciated. Thank you to all our supportive families for choosing our schools and for your partnership in your students' education. This strong partnership between students, staff, and families is what makes the FUSD so special.

The excitement is building as we eagerly anticipate graduation. We are immensely proud to honor the Coconino High School, Flagstaff High School, and Summit High School graduates! These seniors have demonstrated remarkable growth and perseverance, and we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments as they embark on their bright futures. They represent the best of our community, and we couldn't be prouder of the young adults they have become. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Whether you're moving on to new adventures or returning next year, we value your commitment to FUSD. I hope our students enjoy a restful summer filled with family, friends, and perhaps some of FUSD's extended learning opportunities.

Looking ahead, the Flagstaff Unified School District remains steadfast in its commitment to providing the best possible education for each of our students, fostering inclusive and innovative learning environments where they can thrive. We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone back on August 10 for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

Before summer begins, we would like to share a few important reminders and updates for the upcoming school year.

Arrival and Dismissal Times for 2026–2027

FUSD has adjusted school start and end times for the 2026–2027 school year to better support student supervision needs at our middle and high schools. As part of these changes, middle school and high school schedules have shifted. These changes also impact Puente de Hozho Elementary.

Families are encouraged to review the updated arrival and dismissal times for their child’s school. Early release times for Fridays, parent-teacher conferences, finals, and elementary grading days will remain consistent with the schedule below.
