FUSD works in partnership with local agencies to provide support for students to access mental health services. Students not currently eligible for Medicaid, uninsured, or underinsured, can receive mental health services at no cost through the Community Mental Health Block Grant allocated to Title XIX/XXI funding or through the Children's Behavioral Health Services Fund.

Parents' rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004
The Flagstaff Unified School District will provide the Procedural Safeguards Notice to parents at least once annually and at specific milestones: upon initial referral or parent request for an evaluation, upon receipt of the first state complaint or the first due process complaint in a school year, at the time of some disciplinary actions, and upon request by a parent. [34 C.F.R. § 300.504(a)]
