Average Teacher Salaries

  • With the Governing Board adoption of the school year budget, the Flagstaff Unified School District has an average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2020 of $50,560. As a comparison, the average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2019 was $48,639, an increase in average teacher salaries from the previous year of $1,921 or a percentage increase of 4%.

    FUSD was made aware of the situation in early August 2019 and has worked to validate data relating to the breach while evaluating that other services were not impacted. The Pearson breach was limited to the single third party service provider and on one single software system - Pearson AIMSweb 1.0.

  • Killip takes giant leap to Houston

    Killip’s Lego Robotics summer team won second place in the ANGLeS Challenge, which advanced them to the Final Four challenge. Killip successfully won the Final Four round and received a prize trip to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas this August.

  • FUSD Students Help Pass Tobacco 21

    Tobacco 21, an ordinance that prohibits the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to those under the age of 21, passed unanimously in the City of Flagstaff on July 2nd, 2019, with the help of many organizations, including students at Flagstaff and Coconino high schools.

    Earlier this month, two students from Flagstaff and Coconino High schools were invited to the Family Community Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Anaheim, California.

  • Herman selected as Kinsey Principal

    Following a competitive application process and a candidate interview process, which included parents, Kinsey team members, and FUSD officials, Ellen Herman has been selected to serve as the new principal of Kinsey Inquiry and Discovery School.
