The Coconino County Education Service Agency is inviting all educators and the public to nominate outstanding teachers in Coconino County for Teacher of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year. The Teacher of the Year event was created to celebrate, honor and recognize certified teachers from pre-kindergarten through 12 grade.

FUSD Designates Indigenous People's Day
The FUSD Governing Board approved the Indigenous People's Day resolution at the October 8, 2019 meeting designating the second Monday of October as Indigenous People's Day. Flagstaff Unified School District formally encourages all preschools, K-12 schools, parent and educational organizations to recognize and publicize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and will further support school district events to promote understanding and engagement with the Indigenous peoples, traditions, cultures, resilience, and contributions.
