The Business/ Finance Office in the Flagstaff Unified School District involves General Finance, Accounting, and Payroll concerns.

The accounting, budget adoption, monitoring and control, financial reporting, and auditing functions are absolutely necessary for the District to properly adhere to State and Federal laws and regulations. The District operates on a total expenditure of approximately $100,000,000.00 annually and services 15 schools as well as all District level departments.

The Payroll Department generates approximately 2000 checks every two weeks which comprises about 80% of the general operational expenditures in the district.

For several years the Flagstaff Unified School District has been awarded Certificates of Excellence in Financial Reporting.
