Collaborating to Change Classrooms
Technology Peer Coaching within the Flagstaff Unified School District is focused on:
- Effective Communication Skills - in order to develop relationships built on a foundation of trust and positiveness.
- Collaboration - including opportunities for safe reflection and opportunities for collaborators to build their own skills/knowledge and become leaders.
- Lesson Design - to integrate technology at a higher cognitive level, where the students are active creators, applying their depth of knowledge through the use of technology.
Coaching Commitment
- Session 1 and 2 Trainings: June 6th and 7th, from 8:00 - 4:00
- 4 hours of asynchronous online collaboration and assignment work via Google Classroom by June 17th
- Conduct an average of 30 minutes of technology coaching per week, with at least one school colleague
- Session 3 and 4 Trainings: October 20th and February 15th, from 8:00 - 3:30
- Active participation in 8 hours of asynchronous online collaboration, discussion and assignment work (approx. 1 hour/month), via Google Classroom, regularly throughout the 2016-2017 school year.
