Flagstaff Unified School District implemented a technology peer coaching program in 2003 and has continued to develop a robust peer coaching program since.  

The rapidly changing landscape that shapes how our students learn impacts how teachers teach.  Districts continually align professional development with relevant teaching and learning practices, ensuring that all teachers are adequately trained to implement instructional strategies that maximize the use of available and emerging technologies. With limited financial resources, schools and districts must cultivate and maximize existing human resources. Technology peer coaching has been the job-embedded professional development model that Flagstaff utilizes to builds teacher leaders who coach their peers to support a technology rich, learning focused relationship that ultimately expands instructional potential with peer coaching.
