Certified Salary Schedule 2021-2022

Calculation and Placement Information

  • Flagstaff Unified School District recognizes experience for certified teaching in any U.S. public school, U.S. Military, U.S. public charter.  Charter schools must be public funded and open to the public to qualify.  Only full time and a full year of experience qualify, part-time or temporary work will not qualify for experience credit.  Partial years of experience cannot be combined to equal a full year of experience.  Experience will be verified with the institution at time of hire.

    Years of experience are capped at fifteen (15) years of experience.  Each year qualifies for $425 and caps at $6,650.

    Flagstaff Unified School District recognizes advance degrees and additional college credit beyond bachelors.  Verified college credit beyond initial degree is calculated at $50 per credit and is capped at 123 credits and $6,150.  Verified Master's degree is calculated at an additional $800 and a doctorate is calculated at an additional $800.

Supplemental Pay

  • Certified employees can earn supplemental income paid as a contract addendum and has the ability to be renewed annually.  These supplemental income opportunities include:

    • Leupp teaching assignment - $2,500 annually
      • Staff assigned to Leupp elementary will automatically receive upon contract issuance.
    • National Board Certification - $400 annually
    • Doctorate - $400 annually
    • Hearing Impaired certification - $6,000
