• Title I

    What is Title I?

    Title I is the nation’s largest federally-funded education program, supplementing regular classroom learning for struggling students.  Schools eligible for Title I services in FUSD include Cromer, Killip, Kinsey, Leupp, Marshall, Puente de Hozho, and Thomas. Services vary between schools, but generally include:

    • intensive math or reading instruction;

    • technology support in computer labs and classrooms;

    • before or after-school tutoring;

    • summer and intersession classes;

    • family involvement programs and activities;

    • ongoing professional development for teachers and administrators.

    The Family Resource Center and services to transitional families are also provided by Title I. The District and each Title I school have a Family Involvement Plan and a home-school compact that you should receive annually from your child’s school.

    Title I is always looking for parent input into our services.  Contact your school principal or email Frank Garcia if you have questions or would like to be part of the Title I planning team.
