What is ECAP?
ECAP stands for Education Career Action Plan. During high school, every student in Arizona is required to complete an ECAP. The ECAP process exists to help students identify their interests, set goals, and have support in career exploration so that they can plan for success beyond high school. The ECAP addresses the various components of a student's high school experience in the areas of Academics, Post-Secondary Planning, Career Exploration and Awareness, Extra-Curricular Participation, and Community Service. Through the ECAP process, students develop long and short term goals as well as plans for what they want to achieve beyond high school, whether it be technical training, military service, college, or pursuing a career.
