  • University of Arizona - Native American Science and Engineering Program

NASEP is a year-long program designed to provide Native American, Alaskan Native, and Hawaiian Native high school students with a vision of a career in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field; connects students with academic professionals and industry representatives from STEM-related interests; and catalyze the student's motivation to complete chemistry, physics, and pre-calculus before graduating high school. Through one-on-one college preparation coaching with university affiliates, building a computer from its essential components, interactive workshops, and family events, students learn how to effectively prepare for the college admissions process, receive important information about academic success, and are exposed to different STEM career paths. The introduction to the year-long program begins in the summer, with interactions continuing throughout the year via email, phone call, text messaging, mail, and social media that can be accessed through their awarded technology device. A few of the yearly opportunities outside of the summer experience have included college and scholarship advisement, conference attendance, and networking with STEM professionals. Applications due in Mid-March.

  • Philips Exter Academy Summer Program

A tradition since 1919, Exeter Summer has grown to welcome approximately 750 students from more than 40 states and 50 countries each summer. During the program’s five weeks of academic study, athletics, and personal exploration, you will experience the student-centered learning style we call Harkness. As a summer student, you’ll have full access to Exeter’s campus and its unparalleled academic buildings, library, physical education facilities and art spaces. Exeter Summer hosts the UPPER SCHOOL program for rising 10-12th-graders and the ACCESS EXETER program for rising 8-9th-graders.

Since 1781, Phillips Exeter Academy has placed emphasis on uniting goodness and knowledge, a philosophy that carries into Exeter Summer. The diversity of our students and faculty combines with the Academy’s friendly atmosphere to create an environment that will encourage you to undertake new challenges. Living within an academic community fosters curiosity and collaboration. The opportunity to experience residential dormitory life away from home will prepare you in significant ways for attending a boarding school or college in the future.
