Med-Start Summer Program | University of Arizona
Med-Start is a summer academic enrichment program for any 11th grade Arizona high school student interested in a health career. Students participate in the program during the summer between their junior and senior years. Med-Start, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the College of Medicine, was created in 1969 to help improve healthcare in rural, reservation, and economically disadvantaged areas through the recruitment and training of students from these regions.Med-Start helps young people prepare for their future in the health professions by exploring career opportunities and providing college level coursework in English and science. -
Indians Into Medicine | INMED
INMED offers summer academic enrichment sessions for American Indian students at the junior high, high school and medical preparatory levels. These summer programs are designed to bolster participants' math and science skills, introduce health career requirements, and help develop potential for success in health science careers. In addition, these summer programs introduce the students to life on a college campus. Students are housed in UND dorms, eat in the cafeteria and classes are held in University classrooms.

UNITY | United National Indian Tribal Youth
The UNITY Mission is to foster the spiritual, mental, physical, and social development of American Indian and Alaska Native youth and to help build a strong, unified, and self-reliant Native America through greater youth involvement. -
AISES | American Indian Science & Engineering Society
The mission of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is to substantially increase the representation of American Indians and Alaskan Natives in engineering, science, and other related technology disciplines. -
NASEP | Native American Science & Engineering Program
NASEP is a year-long program designed to provide Native American high school students with a vision of a career in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field; connects students with academic professionals and industry representatives from STEM related interests; and catalyze the student's motivation to complete chemistry, physics, and pre-calculus before graduating high school. Through one-on-one college preparation coaching with university affiliates, building a computer from its essential components, interactive workshops, and family events, students learn how to effectively prepare for the college admissions process, receive important information about academic success, and are exposed to different STEM career paths. -
AAIP | Association of American Indian Physicians
The Association of American Indian Physicians provides educational programs, health initiatives, capacity building assistance and services to American Indian and Alaska Native communities and students. -
IAIA | Institute of American Indian Arts
The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) is the only four-year degree fine arts institution in the nation devoted to contemporary Native American and Alaska Native arts. It is devoted to the study of contemporary arts, as well as the art of education.Offering undergraduate degrees in Studio Arts, Cinematic Arts and Technology, Creative Writing, Museum Studies and Indigenous Liberal Studies, and graduate degrees in Creative Writing, IAIA has graduated more than 3,800 students, and welcomes students from the 567 federally-recognized tribes and non-Native Americans looking to obtain a world-class arts education.
